Since 26th October 2008 the first address for Austrian eGovernment, the digital world of public administration, is the service center: HELP.gv.at. It is situated in Viennese Imperial Palace (Hofburg) and offers visitors easy access to administrative information and numerous online services. The service center team informs interested citizens about eGovernment topics such as the Austrian citizen card and provides competent assistance on a variety of electronic public services.

With your activated citizen card you can take your first steps in the digital world. There are several PCs and a multimedia station at your disposal for use free of charge. In addition to an expert advice through our qualified center staff, information and learning videos will help you to gain necessary skills which are most essential for convenient use of eGovernment applications.

If you have any questions on eGovernment there is also the possibility to mail to servicezentrum@bka.gv.at. Your inquiries as well as your suggestions are most welcome. The service center team makes an effort to respond as soon as possible.

The aim of the Austrian eGovernment strategy is to guarantee that offered public services are accessible for all. In our service center you receive detailed information on available eGovernment services on federal, provincial and local level as well as answers to general questions concerning public authorities.

The internet platform HELP.gv.at as service and information point plays a central role for all citizens, who have to deal with Austrian administrative authorities. A high standard of usability is guaranteed through information, which is easy to comprehend, an accessible navigation to relevant subjects as well as through optimized readability.

Advice at first hand

Whether registration to the electronic delivery service, online – appointment reservation at public authorities or information on state funding, in our service center you obtain competent support while dealing with electronic public services for the first time. Additionally, at the service center everybody can place individual queries from land register, commercial register and the central trade register comfortably. As these registers generally are not free of charge, the usual rates have to be borne by applicants.

Publications

In the service center : HELP.gv.at interested citizens can select from a large number of publications, brochures and folders. Beside the information about eGovernment you receive general material about the Federal Chancellery, the Austrian State Archives and brochures on European issues.
